Asphalte MD
Asphalt Paving

Are You Thinking about Paving Your Driveway for the First Time?
Asphalt paving involves installing a new surface on properly prepared ground. Whether you’re starting from scratch or replacing an existing surface, Asphalte MD handles your project in Longueuil and throughout the South Shore, from ground preparation to the final pass of the roller.
How Your Project Unfolds
Step 1.
Site Assessment
Before laying anything, we inspect your site. The condition of the soil, drainage, dimensions — everything is assessed to determine the right approach. You’ll receive a clear estimate before work begins, with no surprises.
Step 2.
Preparing the Foundation
This is the most important step, whether it’s a new driveway or a complete rebuild. Depending on your situation, two options are available:
New Construction
Excavation of the site, installation of a geotextile membrane, laying of a layer of MG20 gravel, and compaction to the required depth.
Removal and Replacement
Removal and disposal of existing materials, followed by the same foundation steps. This option involves additional costs related to the removal.
In both cases, we level the surface and determine the slopes to ensure optimal water drainage. A well-prepared foundation is what determines the lifespan of your asphalt.
Step 3.
Paving, Compaction, and Finishing
Once the foundation is ready, we apply hot asphalt in a uniform, compacted 2-inch layer across the entire surface. We use high-quality materials sourced from reputable suppliers such as McAsphalt and Groupe Colas. The asphalt is compacted with a roller to achieve a dense, smooth, and uniform surface. We pay close attention to the edges and finishing touches.
Your new driveway will be ready for traffic in as little as 7 days, depending on weather conditions.
