Pothole Repair
A pothole is a crack that has been ignored for too long. At this stage, the surface is broken through, the foundation is exposed, and the damage worsens rapidly if left untreated. Depending on the condition of the pavement, two types of repairs are possible:
Resurfacing Repair
This method is used when the foundation is still intact. We first clean the surface to be repaired, then apply a bonding agent to ensure the asphalt adheres properly. A final layer is then applied and carefully compacted, levelled to allow for proper water drainage and to maintain the overall visual appearance.
Cut-and-Pave Repair
When the condition of the pavement requires it, we remove the damaged section with a saw, paying particular attention to the aesthetic quality of the result. The subgrade is then levelled and stabilized. A binder is applied along the edges of the cut to reinforce the joints and prevent them from crumbling over time. The final layer of asphalt is applied and compacted to ensure proper water drainage. The pothole disappears — and doesn’t come back.

Crack Repair
Cracks are the first signs that the asphalt is beginning to fail. Left untreated, they allow water to seep in, and freezing does the rest. We seal the cracks with a bitumen-based thermoplastic product from McAsphalt called Beram, which is applied hot, flexible, and resistant to freeze-thaw cycles. A quick fix that stops the deterioration before it becomes costly.

Sealer Application
Bitumen sealant protects your asphalt before problems arise. It waterproofs the surface, slows bitumen oxidation, protects against UV rays, promotes flexibility, prevents crumbling, and repels oil stains. We use Blackmac bitumen sealant, applied under pressure across the entire surface for a professional finish that restores your driveway to like-new condition.
Unlike acrylic-based sealants sold at hardware stores, which prevent asphalt from breathing and damage it over time, Blackmac is the only one that truly extends the life of your surface. A simple preventive measure that makes all the difference.
